YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
As a composer, Liisi Oja, has remarkably established herself within the last five years. She has written music for her previous collectives such as Liisi Oja Quintet, Liisi Oja trio and Duo Bjergstrøm. Liisi has written a big band composition for the European-Mongolian Youth Jazz Orchestra, and is currently writing music for Liisi Oja big band project.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Liisi started her career as a piano player when she was seven years old, and studied classical piano for ten years. She continued her journey as a jazz pianist and she is currently living and studying in Aalborg, Denmark. Liisi has been a pianist in diverse big bands such as Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, European-Mongolian Youth Jazz Orchestra, Sæby Big Band and many other collectives.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Liisi Oja has been challenging herself as an arranger through many amazing opportunities. She started arranging her music for her own bands (Liisi Oja sextet, Liisi Oja quintet), but for now she has an experience arranging music for big bands and large ensembles. Liisi has arranged an estonian folk tune for Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, and made arrangement for a large ensemble called The Elastic Ensemble. Liisi is constantly improving herself and participating in different projects.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Liisi has finished a pedagogical course at the music conservatory in Aalborg, and now works as a piano teacher for children. She is working at the Goldschmits Music School in Aalborg, but also teaching children privately. Liisi is a kind and patient teacher, looking forward to have new students all the time. It is possible to have lessons in English, Danish and Estonian (also online course).
